The Monkey Business Institute won the 2010 Isthmus Readers’ poll “Madison’s Best Comedy/Improv.”  The group includes a cast of seasoned improvisors, including Matt, Aaron and many other Blame Society regulars.

About Us

Matt Sloan and Aaron Yonda are best known for their video series Chad Vader, a viral internet sensation. Their videos collectively have received well over 110 million views on their YouTube channels (BlameSocietyFilms and BlameSociety2), Hulu, and other web sites. Chad Vader has won over a dozen film festival awards, including the “George Lucas Selects” award from the 2007 Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge. The series has been written about in the New York TimesWall Street JournalUSA TodayTV Week MagazineChicago Sun TimesWashington Post and The Metro (UK), among others. It was featured on VH-1, ABC’s Good Morning AmericaBBC News onlineG4 Tech TV and Spike TV.

Matt and Aaron have been Keynote Speakers at a number of events including The Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop, and BlogWorld New Media Expo (twice).  They have also appeared on panels at Comic Con, The Writer’s Guild, Dragon Con, Fan Expo Toronto, and more.

Commercially they have produced branded comedy films for Google, NBC’s Community, BBC America, Trident, Jarritos, and International Trucking.  They have worked professionally with Dan Harmon (Community) and Rob Schrab (The Sarah Silverman Programme), Mike Nelson and Kevin Murphy (Mystery Science Theater 3000, Rifftrax). They have had two half hour comedy pilots screened at the New York Television Festival (The Splu Urtaf Show and TV Snack Pouch), with many of their pieces appearing at film festivals and conventions across the United States and internationally. Yonda and Sloan have been co-creating films as Blame Society Productions since 2001.
